Week Five Features First-Time Political Candidates

New York, May 4, 2018 — Oria Media announced today the guests who will appear on the fourth episode of The Last Sip, a half-hour weekly program aimed at activating and mobilizing historically marginalized communities, on Sunday, May 13 at 9:30 a.m. on Free Speech TV. Ben Jealous, Maryland gubernatorial candidate; Deb Haaland, New Mexico congressional candidate and Hannah Allam, a reporter at Buzzfeed will all be on the program.

Sunday’s show will focus on the 2018 political atmosphere and what’s behind the wave of first-time, progressive candidates running for office.  It will also explore the possible role of Islamophobia in President Trump’s decision to abandon the Iran Nuclear Deal.
